The Family Concert Experience is an opportunity to experience a guided live-music event with your loved ones

When: Saturday, October 7th, 2023. Class will start at 5pm, dinner at 6:15pm and the concert is at 7:30pm

All ages welcome! Anyone who is curious about how to listen to live music, the musicians on the stage, concert etiquette and how to engage your mind with a live performance experience. 


Concert: 
Johnaye Kendrick’s Heart Songs Concert

Johnaye Kendrick is a vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, teacher and composer. A dedicated educator, Johnaye resides in Seattle, WA where she serves as Professor of Music at the Cornish College of the Arts. Johnaye performs her own original compositions as well as fresh interpretations of beloved jazz and pop compositions. She focuses on graceful renditions of jazz standards and composes music and lyrics where she often accompanies herself on harmonium, violin, viola and percussion. Read more about Johnaye on her WEBSITE


Where: 
Town Hall, Seattle. The pre-concert class with Ms. Kister will be held in the lobby of Town Hall, HERE is a link to directions. For dinner, we have a reservation at 206 Burger Company, a 10-minute walk from Town Hall. The concert will take place at Town Hall - The Forum. HERE is the link with concert info.


What to bring:
A journal and your favorite writing/drawing utensils. I will have materials with me: clipboards, colored pencils, sharpies and paper. 


Cost: 
Pre-Concert Class with Ms. Kister:

The cost for the class is $50 per family. Families include siblings, aunts/uncles, grandparents; come one, come all!
